Winter Walking Tour Schedule Announced!
Walking Tours of the Museum's rolling stock site will be available each Thursday and Friday at 1pm and Saturdays at 11am & 1pm January 4 through February 24.  We've added Fridays to the walking tour schedule as we continue to expand our programming.  As we complete future phases of construction, the Museum will add additional days and times to the schedule.

Amanda and Brint Ryan Fund Reconstruction of Model Train Layout
The Museum of the American Railroad announced today it has received the largest single private gift in its history –a $300,000 donation from Amanda and Brint Ryan of Dallas. The gift will fund a new, permanent year-round model train exhibit that will be housed at the Discovery Center, which will include a $1 million model train set donated by the Sanders Family.

California to Texas!

Historic Santa Fe Locomotives Arrive in Frisco

 

It’s been nearly three decades in the making! Four historically significant diesel locomotives have finally arrived at their permanent home at the Museum of the American Railroad, three of which came from the Santa Fe Railway’s historic collection. Their arrival is the culmination of a successful partnership between two railroad museums 2,000 miles apart – a project that began before our historic move to Frisco.
