Pipe – and lots of it!
Nearly half-a-mile of drainage pipe was delivered to the Museum’s new Frisco facility today; enough to accommodate storm water associated with construction of exhibit tracks 6, 7, and 8. 

While there is much excitement about the impending construction of exhibit tracks at the Museum, certain utilities are essential before these improvements can take place.  Enter, Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) and Longhorn, Inc., who generously provided storm drainage pipe at a greatly reduced price to the Museum.

Santa's Express!
Santa Express! is a family event hosted by the Museum of the American Railroad at its new site in Frisco, Texas.  Join us at our train collection site adjacent to the Frisco Discovery Center (8004 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034) for trains, music, arts & crafts, family fun and most importantly – take a selfie with Santa Claus aboard his red Santa Fe caboose!

Samuel Freeman Charitable Trust to Fund Preservation of Historic Santa Fe Locomotives
The Museum of the American Railroad (MAR) has been awarded a grant from the Samuel Freeman Charitable Trust which will allow for the acquisition and preservation of four historically significant diesel locomotives – three of which operated on the Santa Fe Railway.
